Faces Of The Future 2014 - Pavilion Theatre Glasgow

Writer: Dougie SquiresDougie Squires

Dougie and Antony were both guest judges at this years final Faces of the Future.

Created by Lynsey Brown this is in its 4th year…The standards improve year after year and gone are the Shirley Temple songs dances, and in are hip-hop Alice in Wonderland.

In a UV sequence and tiny kids doing brilliant acrobatic street dances the most impressive of these being Robert Hamiltons brilliant choreographic number in wellington boots, with an overall top class performance level.

The Deja Vu school came up with some impressive work too. Some excellent voices sang inappropriate songs and the beauty and voice of 14 year old Lucy Moore was a winner, alongside the simple and impressive singing of Reece Mcinroy definitely 'faces of the future'.

The Pavilion Theatre looks great. A helping to keep Scottish show business alive and welcomed a terrifically enthusiastic audience who appreciated not only the talent on stage, but the imaginative lighting and projections which enhanced and complimented the performers. This idea of Lyndsey Brown's is brilliant and captures the imagination of the Dance and drama colleges which continues to display.

The future looks bright for Scottish show business and its young hopefuls.
